Abraham friend OF GOD Isaiah 41:8

"But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend." Isaiah 41:8
"And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.." James 2:23
Nothing more and nothing less than God's friend! What do you think? Abraham was not a friend of this world famous president, no, Abraham is a friend of the creator of the universe! Can in this world you get to a higher position? Now I ask, Are we friends with God? You know how you can be? Want to be friends with God? In this talk today.
We know God has human friends! WHAT GOOD IS THAT! Enoch also apparently was a friend of God, walking with Him and one day God took him directly to heaven with Him, Noah apparently it was also walking with Him But Abraham is well clear in the Bible who was a friend of God in these texts we have above.

1-To be a friend of God we must DO WHAT YOU DID ABRAHAM: We must begin by being right before your eyes BY faith alone, Genesis 15:6. Gen 15:6 And he believed the LORD, and counted it to him for righteousness.
He who receives Christ as Savior receive the forgiveness of all their sins, Ephesians 1:7 In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace, and so we have fellowship and there should be the beginning of a friendship that spans all our lives on this earth and will continue for all eternity.
2 - For live friends of God must live by faith.
Was not this what characterized Abraham?, SI, This tells us the Bible for example in Romans 4, Galatians 3, hope against hope he believed for years, and not weak in faith, seeing his body as good as dead as 100 years. 3-God's telling his friends his plans, This is in Genisis 18 when God himself will visit with his angels to Abraham, eat with him, Spend time with him, in communion and tells him about her plans first family of Abraham and then what to do with Sodom and Gomorrah. At this point God even Abraham advises. Gen 18:20 And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is indeed great, and their sin is very grievous;
Gen 18:21 down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry that has come to me, and if not, I will know.
Gen 18:22 And the men turned from there and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD.

Gen 18:23 And Abraham drew near and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?
He even says that the Judge of all the earth Do not have to do what is righteous? So this tells God, Gen 18:25 far from thee to do such a thing, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked that never do. The Judge of all the earth, not to do what is right? God heard his petition and saved Lot, God hears the requests of his friends, Gen 19:29 And it came to, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the destruction , when he overthrew the cities where Lot lived. God gave Abraham a lot of material wealth, so today is kind of the spiritual riches we have in Christ. Gen 13:2 And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver and in gold. Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ,

FINDINGS: God grant that we also cultivate a friendship with God, believing hope against hope permanently. Living a life of intimate communion with Him through faith in Christ and him crucified. Also enjoy the blessings of Abraham, the blessing of having friends or anyone else unless God Almighty power loving grace. You can enjoy today and from that friendship, which is not only when we are with Him in glory, today can be your friend if we are justified before Him by faith, as Abraham.
